One Size Does Not Fit All!

Contrary to the popular tag "anyone can do it!" I want to say here and now that this is so often not true. The fact is that many formulas for online internet marketing businesses are quite complicated and subject to lots of research and product appraisal, read time & money.

I am often dismayed by the cavalier attitude that some sales letters, 'pitches', have when telling prospective online business marketers how 'easy' it is to get rich by their formula.

Truth is that one size does not fit all. Any internet marketing 'guru' who tells you

'If you can copy and paste ... then you can make a killing'

Using his exclusive internet business marketing formula... should be considered with extreme caution.

Who do you trust?

For me the calmer the sales pitch, the more trust I put into the person selling.

This doesn't mean that you shouldn't trust a sales letter that gets you excited... I think that any good sales letter should fire you with enthusiasm, BUT if the sales letter is peppered with words like:

• 'Cast Iron Guarantee'
• 'you're an idiot if you pass this by'
• 'the most incredible formula ever'
• 'stuff your pockets with other peoples cash'
• 'Earn $1000 by next week!" etc etc

Then you can be sure that you're reading hype of the highest BS order.

So who do you trust?

Well those who have been around for a few years selling on the internet are always people to take seriously. For example Ros Gardner, Author of 'The Super Affiliates Handbook' started off like you and I, trying out different methods to see which internet marketing business was right for her.

In her book she tells you of her mistakes and eventual successes... earning over $470,000 in one year... and explaines clearly how she did it.

Ros also runs a very informative and useful website, Net Profits Today, where she shares her knowledge and understanding of the online internet marketing business world and she writes for 'Revenue Today', the business magazine for internet marketing businesses.

This sort of profile would give anyone confidence to trust what this 'Guru' has to say, and take their advice.

Use the power of the internet to search for profiles of people who's advice you are considering.

What Business Is Right For Me?

Oh If I had a '£' (make that $2!) for every time I had been asked this question.

There are literally thousands of different ways of getting into the online business world. I suppose one of the problems is that once you start looking you are literally bamboozled by the sheer numbers of different 'formula', 'systems' or 'methods' that are hyped out there:

• Affiliate marketing
• Creating digital products to sell
• Pipeline profits
• Drop shipping
• Ebay & online auctions
• Adsense & Pay Per Click (PPC)
• Google Cash
• Day Job Killer
• Article writing and selling

The list could go on and on..... just type in 'How to make money online' and see what comes back!

But as in the 'physical world' we aren't all naturally predisposed to doing any job. We all have our strengths and weaknesses.

• Some are good at writing, some aren't
• Some are good sales people, some aren't
• Some people love facts & figures... some don't
• Some love learning new technology... some are frightened by it

What you need to do is to take a piece of paper, or sit at a screen, and be honest with yourself. What are you good at and what things do you always avoid.

Now look at each type of internet marketing business idea.

For example there is good money in writing and selling focused articles that others want to buy and use for their website content. But in order to be successful at writing & selling these articles you need to be able to:

• Write to order - smoothly and in a style that works for the internet & your intended audience.
• Understand 'Keywords' and fit them into the articles naturally.
• Have an ability to write about a wide range of articles, maybe by having done some research on the subject first.
• Be happy to work alone in front of a computer screen for many hours

If these sound like the qualities that you have, then you might well like this way of earning an income on line. If you could combine these skills with developing a small internet site then you could be on your way to building a very lucrative 'Private Labels Rights' membership site. However if you found that the list above did not reflect your skills and interest, or they just don't fit into your current lifestyle then you can discount this as a method or suitable internet business possibility.

Look for the closest match of your actual skills and desires with those required by each type of online internet business idea.

But seriously the only people who are making the 'Overnight' profits are those unscrupulous internet marketers who are selling your their next over hyped internet business marketing formula.

They get your cash and you get to struggle to make their ebook make money.

If it seems 'Too Good To Be True'
Then it probably is.
